Detroit Diesel ECM — DDEC III, DDEC IV & Series 60 Engine Control Modules

Detroit Diesel's DDEC (Detroit Diesel Electronic Control) system was the industry's first electronic engine management system for heavy-duty trucks, and replacement ECMs remain in strong demand for Series 60 (12.7L and 14.0L) engines still operating in long-haul fleets, stationary power, and marine applications.
DDEC ECMs are matched to engine serial number, DDEC hardware version, and installed option set. Programming via Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL) is required after ECM replacement. The P-prefix (e.g. P23519308) indicates a production/new unit; the R-prefix (e.g. R23518743) indicates a factory-remanufactured unit.
