Product details
Caterpillar C7 Fuel Injector
What Is This Part?
The Caterpillar 20R-8059 is a fuel injector (C7) for CAT C7 engines. Its catalogue description is "Injector GP - Fuel". Typical applications include 324D / 325D hydraulic excavators and 950H / 962H wheel loaders, IT62H. It cross-references to 10R-4763 (related reman).
The injector delivers a precisely metered, atomised spray of fuel into the combustion chamber. The C7 uses Caterpillar's hydraulically actuated HEUI-B system: high-pressure oil from the injection actuation pump drives the injector, and ECM-controlled solenoids meter timing and quantity. Typical signs of a failing injector are misfire or rough idle, white or black smoke, hard starting, low power, high fuel consumption, failed cylinder cut-out tests or fuel dilution of the engine oil.
